Enjoying mansaf, kept in balance
Mansaf is a celebration on a plate, and there's no reason to treat it as forbidden. The lamb brings protein, the jameed is a genuine source of calcium and tang, and the whole dish is a shared ritual worth keeping.
Balance comes from proportion, not avoidance. Let the meat and a sensible mound of rice share the plate with a big side of fresh salad or cut vegetables, and slow down — mansaf is meant to be eaten unhurried. If lunch is a full mansaf, a lighter soup-and-salad dinner rounds the day out nicely.
One rich meal never undoes a good week, just as one salad never fixes a poor one. Eat it, enjoy the company, and let the rest of your week do its ordinary, steady work.
